Mirabilia   

I have always loved arts, fashion and history. For me they have always been one thing, the thing you love to do above all else. I loved expressing emotions, people and colour from an early age and that usually puts you in the misunderstood category.

When creating this blog I thought of all the things that were left unsaid over the years (while I had to focus on graduating and moving from Europe to Australia) and that I feel now while creating this blog. 

My style can be best described as mixed media, with a combination of collage and watercolours being my most prominent venue for expression. My works, be they paintings or designs, are always highly personal.

I always seem to have too many interests, something that is exciting but seems next to impossible to express in a blog or page. My deepest inspiration is found in history, women, feminine beauty, nature and individual emotions. I hope to explore all these and take you through my creative process and show you my ideas and creations. There has been many inspirational things in my life over the years with many being fleeting but beautiful. I believe this blog is now the right choice for trying to capture these moments.

 

This is a special time in my life as I have decided to focus on what I like to do best. Part of this has been establishing the Moonrock site along with my partner which is mostly dedicated to paintings and illustrations. Mirabilia is my own sphere for exploring the world of beauty, fashion and design. I hope you can here find something that transcends 'fashion' and instead fills you with a timeless sense of style.
